MICROSCOPES

there are some small pleasures. as i characterize them, there is a god and some times he smiles on you.

one of the finest microscopes ever made was a bausch & lomb pod with an sk stand. out of production for years.

i really need one of these, however. nothing else being made today equals that product.

i have been looking for one of these for some years. today, miraculously, one showed up on ebay.

first time i have ever used ebay. and i tuned in when this tool was within 2 hrs of auction closing.

i think that i was fated to own this instrument.

So, did it arrive? Was it what you expected?

will arrive on wednesday. and it will be what i expected.

the finest metallurgical microscope and stand ever developed.

i have wanted one ever since i first encountered the 1976 variant at my met lab in 1983.

i didn't think much about adding that device to my lab. mainly because i had my independent lab.

but as we have aged, and i envision the demise of my met lab, i have tried to obtain the microscope that it uses. it is a real rarity. a piece of scientific artistry.

finding this instrument, almost inadvertantly, on ebay, tells me that i was fated to give it a home.

i cannot tell you what this microscope can reveal. it is the finest analytic tool that i have ever encountered.

it is so wonderful that one showed up on ebay. the real key to this instrument is the sk stand. it is unique to bausch & lomb...it is a killer for an analytic microscope.

to find, and acquire, the microscopic pod and this stand is an act of god.

Well, hey, al, just wanted to thank you for paying a visit and showing the gang that you're still a whacked out conspiracy theorist. We all haven't had such a good laugh in days! Oswald says "hi!"
